As a pharmacist you'll ensure safe and efficient use of medicines. You'll gain understanding of the way that drugs are formulated to medicines and administered and how they're used in treating of disorder. You'll develop a sound scientific base in studies that have biochemistry, bio-statistics, human biology, genetics, microbiology, immunology and cell biology. This class prepares you to take on the internship year required by the Pharmacy Board of Australia to act as registered as a Pharmacist. Once the program and the internship requirements have been completed, you are able to mange in any part of pharmacy in Australia or New Zealand, for example community or hospital pharmacy. Clinical positioning is a key focus throughout the degree. You'll undertake real-life adventures in work placements in both community and hospital pharmacies within the four years. You may gain a strong scientific foundation from which to undertake post graduate studies if desirable.
After the successful completion of internship as well as also an examination, you'll be eligible for registration as a pharmacist with the Pharmacy Board of Australia. A mutual enrollment too has the Pharmacy Council of New Zealand, allowing registration after a decreased period of working under supervision.
