How do you extract a medical substance from a plant? How do you define a dosage? Do you administer a drug via a tablet or an injection? A lot of questions have to be answered before a drug can be safely used. The Dutch-taught Pharmacy degree programme you study how medicines work in the human body and how they can be used to treat diseases. Would you like to help cure people? Or would you prefer to focus on the drugs themselves? Choosing a Master's degree programme after your Bachelor's will open up a variety of possibilities. Drug expert The degree programme in Pharmacy will train you to become an all-round expert who knows how medicines work, can help develop or improve them, and can give patients and doctors advice on how to use them safely. Excellent career opportunities Once you have completed your Master's degree you will have excellent career opportunities as you will know how to combine knowledge from a variety of subject fields. Many graduates find jobs at hospitals, pharmacies, universities, research institutes, healthcare insurance companies and government institutions, as well as with producers of medicines, food, cosmetics and agricultural products.
