The higher degree qualification was made to prepare the pharmacists for the future to fulfill the fast evolving challenges in one of Australia's most rapidly growing healthcare professions. Traditionally, pharmacy degrees in Australia have offered students a naturally-occurring pathway to employ to enroll as a pharmacist (broadly speaking a four-year bachelor degree and a one time internship). This new class will enable students to apply to enroll over the identical five-year time frame, but offers them the additional benefit of doing so with a master's level together with a bachelor's. Throughout the year of this level, students will finish the 48-week paid internship. This class intends to give students the information, expertise and experience needed to really make a difference in moment they grad because a drug professional and healthcare practitioner. Australian Pharmacy Council. The Pharmacy Board of Australia requires graduates to take a year of supervised training (that may soon be performed in the fifth year of the course), followed closely by means of a registration examination as a way to be a registered pharmacist.

- English (any), chemistry and mathematical methods (CAS) or specialist maths. All students applying via VTAC should complete a Monash University Supplementary Information Form (Pharmacy)
