The higher degree qualification was made to prepare the pharmacists for the future to fulfill the fast evolving challenges in one of Australia's most rapidly growing healthcare professions. Traditionally, pharmacy degrees in Australia have offered students a naturally-occurring pathway to employ to enroll as a pharmacist (broadly speaking a four-year bachelor degree and a one time internship).
