The focus is on elucidating philosophical, normative issues about man and society, precisely in the light of any new scientific knowledge we have now acquired about ourselves. Three tracks: Philosophy, Science and Society (No longer offered as of August 2017 - last opportunity to start with this track is February 2017): an English-taught track which is specially designed for students who primarily have an interest in the relationship between formal models of (moral) reasoning, epistemic aspects by science-informed decisions in a social context, and the ethical problems involved looming. Ethics of Business and Organization: a Dutch-taught track that is specifically designed for students who are interested in the philosophical questions related to modern society related to organizations (government agencies, healthcare institutions, companies, multinational corporations, NGOs, etc.). Philosophy of Democracy and Culture: a Dutch-taught track that is designed specifically for students interested in the relationship between democracy and the mentality of the people in the civilized society.
