Physics is the most fundamental of the natural sciences. Advances in physics help us to understand the physical reality around us and allow us to solve problems in a broad variety of disciplines, including such disparate fields as medicine and finance. A degree in Physics from Carleton University will develop your skills in problem solving, critical and analytic thinking and computational analysis. As well, the department collaborates with the electronics department in offering an Engineering Physics (BEng) program. This elite program is professionally accredited and aims to produce engineers with a deep understanding of the scientific foundation of engineering.
