This program delivers practical experience and skills training to prepare students for individual work from psychology. Students will advance their current understanding of emotional assessment with a focus on the selection, administration and interpretation of major emotional examinations. They'll also develop skills in writing different kinds of psychological reports. The application will extend familiarity with appropriate treatments for emotional disorders and how to deliver emotional services ethically and within legal conditions. Applicants will probably be satisfactorily trained to attempt one last year of supervised internship within the field, and then students can apply for general registration as a psychologist using the Psychology Board of Australia.
The Australian Psychology Accreditation Council (APAC) has accredited the Master of Professional Psychology.
- Successful conclusion of an APAC accredited Worker amount or fourth in Psychology with Honours Class 2 Division I from a recognised higher education institution in the last 10 years (OR) psychologists having revealed equivalent experience and compliance with all the Psychology Board of Australia's continuing skilled development requirements
- or applicants will need to have overall registration or be entitled to provisional registration as a psychologist using the Psychology Board of Australia
- And attend a consultation together with psychology workers.
