The Graduate Diploma in Property Development offers a comprehensive grasp of the real estate development process combined with practical skills required to work effectively in the industry. This integrates the political, financial, physical and legal processes which give rise to the effective evolution of real estate resources. Students benefit from close ties to the industry. UTS academics have professional backgrounds and connections, and class projects in many cases are based on real improvement scenarios. Recent project examples include the Gladesville Hospital website, Lindfield Town Centre and the Sydney Light Rail Corridor. While much students have extensive industry experience too, there are exceptional chances for peer reviewed learning and networking across a variety of fields including real estate development, valuation, structure and engineering, community planning and architecture.

The Program is accredited by the Property Institute of Australia

  • UTS recognised bachelor degree or equivalent
  • Or UTS Graduate Certificate in Property and Planning at a Charge level
  • Or Advanced Diploma in the field of the built environment.

    In addition, applicants with a bachelor degree or advanced diploma has to submit: an individual statement (max. 300 words) articulating land, planning or construction work experience
  • A 2-page CV. The English proficiency requirement for international students or regional applicants with international credentials is: Academic IELTS: 6.5 overall with a writing score of 6.0
  • Or TOEFL: newspaper based: 550-583 overall with TWE of 4.5, internet based: 79-93 overall with a writing score of 21
  • Or AE5: Pass
  • Or PTE: 58-64
  • Or CAE: 176-184. Qualification for entry doesn't guarantee offer of a place.
