Advance your understanding of clinical issues in childhood, adolescence and adulthood, as well your comprehension of evidence-based psychological tests and interventions and the ethics related to your work. Combining coursework, clinical training and training, this course prepares you for enrollment as a psychologist with the Psychology Board of Australia. Graduates are eligible to submit an application for psychologists positions, for example clinical psychologist positions in either the private or public industries.
This program is accredited by the Australian Psychology Accreditation Council (APAC) and fulfils the Need for associate membership in the Clinical College of the Psychology Board of Australia.
The minimum entry requirement of this particular app is an APAC accredited fourth year level in Psychology (Honours or Graduate Diploma) at Distinction average (70 percent ). Applicants must also satisfy the personal qualities appraisal (via referee reports and interview). Students who have completed their undergraduate studies overseas has to apply to the Australian Staff to possess their own level assessed (see www.psychology.org.au/membership/qualifications/). We cannot consider a program without the level being recognised by the APS as comparable to Australian classes.
