Public-health describes organised efforts to reduce disease, promote health and reduce health inequalities in entire populations. A post graduate public health level is recognised worldwide as being invaluable for a lifetime career in public health. The Master of Public Health (high level ) offers flexibility, with a vast selection of electives, providing the opportunity to specialise in a particular area of public health. UTS utilises a composite of face-to-face education, including block days, and online educational shipping. Academic staff are exceptionally experienced clinicians and researchers, and recognised as leaders in their preferred fields of general health. Graduates are well-equipped to operate in a variety of public health roles in private or government industries, in addition to in not-for-profit organisations; in areas such as: environmental health, epidemiology, health education, health policy, and health promotion.

  • UTS recognised bachelor degree, or equivalent or higher qualification, or submitted other evidence of general and professional qualifications which demonstrates possibility to pursue graduate studies. This evidence could include extensive relevant work experience in a health or human services field. Applicants should have at least 1 year's fulltime equivalent expertise in a health or individual services organisation. Applicants who do not need an undergraduate degree but who have extensive relevant work experience in a health or human services field and can demonstrate the ability to undertake tertiary study might also be considered eligible. The English competency requirement for global students or regional applicants with international qualifications is: Academic IELTS: 6.5 overall with a writing score of 6.0
