Public Health

This system enables pupils to work throughout the world in a variety of settings. It is a comprehensive, stand-alone degree, with both practice and research pathways. Students are trained according to the Building Blocks Competencies for Public Health Managers in Australia. The program is intended for professionals working in health settings who are attempting to enlarge their career pathways into mature roles, in management and government organisations, community health services, hospitals and other organisations in the private sector, research houses and public health insurance and health promotion agencies.

Graduates of the Master of Public Health Will apply for membership with the Australasian College of Health Service Management (ACHSM). Membership could be subject to additional or continuing requirements beyond finishing the degree. Please contact the relevant professional body for details.

• The minimum entrance requirement is successful completion of an Australian Bachelor degree (or its equivalent)
• Prior learning developed through relevant work experience or professional certification, where it's deemed to be equivalent to that obtained through a Bachelor degree, may be viewed
• for producing an offer for an offender, the University will pay attention to a selection of factors to ascertain whether an applicant has demonstrated the ability to work at a Master's level, including academic record, English proficiency, and/or employment experience
• NB: Meeting minimum requirements will not guarantee an offer of an area
• Entrance into all La Trobe classes is based on competitive selection and there can be limited places available.
