Public health identifies structured attempts to prevent illness, promote health and reduce health inequalities in entire populations. A postgraduate public health level is recognized worldwide as being invaluable for a career in public health. The Master of Public Health is designed for both non invasive and clinically qualified students interested in a career in public or worldwide wellness, research or practice. Through this class, students acquire skills in planning, execution and analysis of public health programs. The Master of Public Health offers flexibility, with a broad assortment of electives, providing the chance to specialise in a given area of public health. UTS utilises a composite of facetoface teaching, including block weeks, and online educational shipping. Academic staff are exceptionally experienced clinicians and research workers, and recognized as leaders in their preferred areas of general health. Graduates are well-equipped to do the job in a variety of public health functions in government or private industries, as well as in not-for-profit organisations; in disciplines such as: environmental health, epidemiology, health education, health policy, and health promotion.
- A UTS recognised bachelor's degree, or an equivalent or higher qualification
- Or submitted other evidence of general and professional qualifications which demonstrates potential to pursue graduate studies. This signs may consist of extensive relevant work experience in a health or human services field. Applicants will need to have a minumum of 12 months's fulltime equivalent expertise in a healthcare or individual services organisation.
