This course aims to draw students from a range of subjects. It takes quite a broad environmental approach highlighting the interdependence between human health and ecosystems. As such, the class acknowledges the complexity and interrelatedness of contemporary and emerging public health concerns. The course reflects the demand for an interdisciplinary general health work with a broad assortment of chief skills, also specialised skills, which extend beyond the traditional biomedical boundary. As such, this is a exceptional approach to public health trained in Australia, building on the present strengths of the University. Students are ready to operate in a vast array of disciplines by drawing on a broad assortment of courses across general health, ecological health, land use and urban planning, sociology, community development, health administration, health promotion and international development.
A completed Bachelor level. Entry to this course is competitive. Software will be evaluated on the basis of academic merit and also the range of available places.
