Why is Public Policy worth studying?

Public Policy is a promising new and relevant study programme intended to qualify specialists in public policy who have knowledge and analytical skills in making political decisions, implementation and analysis of policy. Students get acquainted with the figures of public policy, public relations, international relations, economic and social policy of a state, strategic governance and governance based on civic participation, the most relevant problems of public policy and their innovative solutions. Moreover, the knowledge might be deepened as well as skills improved in the fields of labour market and employment, culture and art industries, environment, research and innovation, social and economic EU policy.

Theoretical knowledge accumulated by teachers, important practical advices, valuable experience obtained in national and international conferences, published scientific monographs and articles, cooperation with international partners proves appropriate potential of knowledge and practical skills that teachers seek to share with their students and future graduates of Public Policy. The programme was created to inspire people to pursue their goals, improve their environment, seek for perfection, generate new political ideas, analyse solutions of public policy, help society to solve problems and implement ideas.

Additional possibilities

There is a possibility to obtain a double degree in bachelor studies. One of the following minor study programmes is offered in the second semester: media philosophy, European studies, pedagogy, psychology, translation, public administration, new media language, business administration, accounting, economics, finances, leadership, marketing, informatics, applied mathematics, management, human resource management.

Course Content

Studies and internship abroad

Under the student exchange programme ERASMUS+, it is possible to study in other countries at partner universities in Finland, Estonia, Czech Republic, Poland, Italy, Cyprus, Latvia and others. University maintains close cooperation with various foreign companies and organizations thus opening an opportunity for students to have their internship period abroad.

Career possibilities

Graduates can work in the public sector (EU and other international institutions, governmental and municipal institutions), non-governmental (charity organizations, public institutions) and private (research, project management, consulting) organizations.

General admission requirements are as follow:

  • For undergraduate study programmes: 12 years or equivalent education.
