This system gives a exceptional focus on public policy in northern contexts. It brings together teaching and well-supervised research projects that are devoted to the northern Australian region, in particular its remote context, the importance of Indigenous peoples and cultures, and its proximity to south east Asia.

Successful completion of a Bachelor degree, Graduate Certificate, Graduate Diploma, Masters degree or equivalent. Applicants who do not meet the entry conditions are counseled to email thenortherninstitute@cdu.edu.au for further advice.
