The Graduate Certificate in Religious Education (Primary) is supposed to serve a dual purpose: a) being a base for students seeking a qualification in theology but don't have any prior qualifications in this field; b) as professional development for students currently working as Religious Education teachers. It qualifies students who employ a body of knowledge in a variety of contexts to undertake professional/highly skilled work. It also serves as a foundational,'standalone' eligibility so that as a pathway for additional learning from theological studies. For students with instruction credentials, it provides an chance for professional development.
Successful conclusion of this course can provide students with a qualification for further postgraduate studies in the region of religious instruction, either Graduate Diploma or Masters courses at other accredited institutions.
- Admission to this class takes the form of: - an undergraduate degree (minimum AQF Level 7) in an accepted association, or - The potential to exhibit sufficient life or professional experience in areas related to the specialization of this eligibility. Applicants should have english language competence and undertake a scheduled appointment in which you demonstrate: - a more clear understanding of the course expectations

- - an ability to express yourself effortlessly
- And - an ability to work individually and as a part of a team. Applicants already qualified to teach religion in Catholic schools must also have a under graduate degree in education or teaching out of an accredited institution.
