This qualification reflects the role of those that have the primary responsibility of engaging the purchaser, maintaining daily store operations and delivering on organisational expectations. They have solid knowledge of merchandise and service supplies. These individuals possess a range of well-developed skills where discretion and judgement is necessary. They utilize some liberty under limited supervision. Some individuals working in this level are in charge of supervising other associates and tracking day-to-day workplace operations.The qualification provides a pathway to perform in a wide range of retail settings including specialty retailers, supermarkets, shops and quick service restaurants. People who have this qualification can do roles like frontline product sales assistant, customer service representative, shop helper, retail manager, team leader and mature sales assistant. No occupational certification, certificate or specific legislative requirements affect the qualification at time of publication.
