This qualification reflects the role of those who lead a frontline group and manage daily operations of a retail store or department to implement and deliver on organisational objectives and standards. These folks have a range of highly improved selling and customer involvement skills with sound understanding of goods and service offerings. They work with freedom, accepting responsibility for their functions and outputs.This eligibility provides a pathway to operate in a wide variety of retail preferences including speciality retailers, supermarketsand department stores, and fast service restaurants. People who have this qualification are able to do roles such as store manager, department director and assistant store manager. No occupational licensing, certification or specific legislative requirements apply to the eligibility at the time of book.

Entry to this qualification is open to individuals who've achieved a Certificate III at Retailorhave relevant industry employment experience in a job role that's involved the application of knowledge and skills described in core units of competency from the SIR30216 Certificate III in Retail.
