Department of Russian Studies at Carleton College offers a comprehensive and interdisciplinary program designed to develop students’ proficiency in the Russian language, deepen their understanding of Russian literature, culture, history, and society, and enhance their analytical and communication skills. The major in Russian Studies provides students with a broad foundation in both language and area studies, enabling them to engage critically with a wide range of texts and cultural artifacts from diverse periods and regions of the Russian-speaking world.
