Fundamental engineering principles will be taught in English language during the basic course period (semesters 1 + 2) of the international and interdisciplinary Bachelor's degree programme. This will make the course work more accessible for international students and simultaneously prepare German students for a career in international companies. An orientation module of the introductory phase conveys an overview of knowledge from central fields of all subject areas in order to facilitate the choice between the three specialisation areas. Subsequently the focus will shift to the existing lectures (modules) in food technology, applied computer science, electrical engineering.
The student will acquire a competency for planning, execution and analysis of technical projects as well as working independently in engineering, specifically in focus areas such as applied computer science, electrical engineering and food technology. Besides giving a quick start to working life there is also the opportunity to enter a Master's programme.
