Description

The College of Science Teacher Prepration Program provides science majors the opportunity to take courses and engage in school experiences that will lead to a Bachelor of Science degree in Science Education, qualify for eligibility for secondary science teacher certification or to a minor in Science Education. Science teachers today are in demand. Currently there is a shortage of qualified science teachers in K-12 schools. Additionally, science teaching is an exciting and rewarding career that combines opportunities to work simultaneously with young people and with science.

Requirements

Before students can take any courses for credit, students must first be admitted to the University of Arizona as a degree or non-degree student. Students who are not admitted to the University of Arizona can apply as a Non-Degree Seeking student, either as an Undergraduate or Graduate student. Graduate students can apply online as a Non-Degree Seeking student. Undergraduates can download a paper Non-Degree application. Please mail the Undergraduate Non-Degree application and check payment to UA Outreach College instead of Undergraduate Admissions to expedite your admission process.
