Gives pupils with industry-level abilities, a show-reel of production work and also a powerful analytical and theoretical base relating to digital screen production.Students are able to pursue a big subject of specialisation from the following areas: producing, directing, screenwriting, cinematography, sound and editing. Students can also select secondary areas of specialisation. The course features specialist education by leading industry practitioners as tutors, advisers and guests.The course includes the professional production of six short dramas and documentaries, client-based projects and also a webseries. The course also supplies introduction to VR and have film production, and a pathway to help post-graduate research.A unique quality of the program is that the connection with the West Australian Academy of Performing Arts (WAAPA). Students within the WAAPA acting department feature at Screen Academy productions, and the WAAPA costumedesign, design, audio and sound makeup departments give rise to the productions.
University admission requirements apply. All applicants need to supply a personal announcement. A detailed CV should also be given. Additionally applicants must attend a scheduled appointment, and offer a showreel, also have completed a related undergraduate degree or equivalent three years industry experience, with equivalents considered. Alternately applicants can offer a folio.
