Students with the course explore how societal, economic and political aspects help shape individual actions in society. Students develop a strong grounding in social sciences, helping to develop skills to analyse societal and economic issues at the actual world. Students will: Analyse the intricacies of contemporary policy environments, identifying key issues that are philosophical and developing corresponding solutions; evaluate a range of societal and cultural concepts and apply them to contemporary social issues and scenarios; critique popular explanations of contemporary societal life through the application of rigorous methods of enquiry; examine the dynamics of powerand cultural significance and social inequities; and reevaluate, analyse and assess the relationships involving the lack of resources, the nature of values, and also the design of social and economic policy in local and global contexts.
Entry to this program relies in an entrance status. A status can be achieved by a year 1 2 ATAR, additional Australian eligibility, work experience, or an overseas qualification.
