spatial development in close connection with the practice of making the planning decisions. The studies improve the ability to use computer software supporting the process of spatial planning. The course leads to a Master’s degree. Graduates possess knowledge, skills and competences necessary in the process of planning and designing urban space, formulating the principles of spatial and environmental policy at all levels of management, and making rational decisions concerning the management of the city and region and the shaping of space according to sustainable development principles. Graduates also have skills useful in resolving spatial conflicts, and are able to evaluate correctly and prioritize various social, economic and ecological objectives. Graduates are prepared to undertake work in local government, urban planning and design, public administration, local and regional development agencies, academic institutions, real estate agencies and as geodesy and cartography specialists. A few years’ practice will enable graduates to perform management functions in the above-mentioned professions and institutions.
Candidates holding higher education (Bachelor) diplomas or Master degrees may apply. A transcript of records showing the subjects/grades and a certificate of proficiency in English for foreigners (unless the first degree was taught in English) are required.
