Speech pathologists work with individuals who have smoking, swallowing or feeding difficulties to reduce the effect of these issues on their lives. This course attracts students of the maximum calibre. Graduates are recognised for their expertise in all facets of communication, innovative way of professional training, use of technology, and ability to conduct research in various health science disciplines. An honours stream is available to existing pupils and conducts parallel to the standard fourth calendar year. Students have to undertake clinical placements beyond the typical study phases, including a nation positioning.
The training program is accredited by Speech Pathology Australia. Candidates are eligible for registration with Speech Pathology Australia.
