The MSc SIM deals with these challenges, and teaches students how to help firm manage the firm's innovation activities and, in the process, helps turn ideas into profit. The MSc SIM considers the whole strategic process of managing innovations within companies and between companies. Our programme is structured around the following four topics: (1) where does innovation come from; (2) how can the firm organise internally for innovation; (3) how and with whom should the firm cooperate to maximise innovation; and (4) how can the firm capture value from innovation? All of our courses are designed and executed by a small group of top academic researchers, and our programme is, therefore, strongly research oriented. By introducing students to the state-of-the-art in academic research, the aim of the programme is to give student the necessary tools to properly understand, evaluate and solve real-life cases, and to conduct their own research.
