Strength and Conditioning

As game and wellness agendas keep growing both nationally and internationally, functions within the sport group are getting more critical to optimize the groundwork of athletes around all developmental levels. Maximising the performance of athletes is essentially dependent on their ability to be physically prepared to withstand the rigors of the preferred sport. Therefore there is a developing need for exceptional graduates in this area. The class intends to offer the opportunity for future and current coaches to build up their understanding and technical abilities in line with key aspects of the profession. The course is constructed to comprise center building blocks of comprehension around training modalities, monitoring and planning, and trainer communication. The course is two semesters in course and can be in a mostly online format.

Under graduate in Sport and physical exercise science or related field OR under graduate in non-related degree nevertheless has undertaken units associated with anatomy, human anatomy, biomechanics and basic training OR Non-degree entry: Individuals individuals without a degree but possess 5 years' experience working fulltime in a strength and conditioning job will be considered. Please contact the Course Convenor for additional information. Suitability to get non-degree entry is assessed via communications using the Course Convener.
