This programme is structured around a core of topics in signal processing, with specialisms in control and systems theory, image processing and machine learning.

The programme is centred around the research base at Southampton and reflects leading research in ECS in the areas of:

Honours Degree:Our normal entry requirement is a first-class or upper second-class degree (or equivalent) in a related discipline, such as Mathematics, Physics, Engineering and Computer Science.English Language Requirements:If English is not your first language, you will be required to pass an approved English test to ensure you can enjoy the full benefit of your studies. We normally ask for an International English Language Testing System (IELTS) score of 6.5 (with a writing score of 6), or a Test of English as a Foreign Language (TOEFL) score of 580.International Qualifications:We welcome applications from international students.Selection Process:All individuals are selected and treated on their relative merits and abilities in line with the University's Equal Opportunities Policy. Disabled applicants will be treated according to the same procedures as any other applicant with the added involvement of the Disability Office to assess their needs. The university might still accept these tests to admit you to the university, but if you require a Tier 4 visa to enter the UK and begin your degree programme, these tests will not be sufficient to obtain your Visa.
