Teaching (Secondary)

This application enables students to get a teaching qualification if they got a bachelor degree in a field besides education.The class is intended to match content knowledge gained from their prior qualification, and the breadth of life and also other experiences that they are able to draw in the teaching profession. Curriculum studies will educate them to make use of their own current knowledge to produce and plan effective instruction strategies to respond to the diverse requirements of students. Key capabilities in classroom and behaviour management is going to likely be developed before undertaking the first expert experience within a school setting. Students will participate in up-to-date and relevant learning experiences intended to prepare them for their new career. Students will prepare yourself to teach two subjects in years 7-12 in secondary schools.

This class meets professional teaching standards for the Australian Institute for Teaching and School Leadership, and Queensland College of Teachers and pupils are eligible to apply for teacher registration. Graduates looking for employment in other areas of Australia and over seas may have to meet further conditions.

• An completed recognised 3-year level not in education or in a course leading to teacher enrollment, with a grade point average score of 4.0 on QUT's 7 point scale
