This application is for graduates who have non-Education Bachelor degrees that would like to qualify to show their disciplines in secondary schools. It is intended to build on students' existing field understanding with discipline-specific courses to get them ready for your own classroom. Students tackle Supervised Professional expertise in three cubes, totalling 60 days of practice teaching, with all the chance to gain experience in remote and rural areas throughout Queensland.
Graduates qualify for registration with the Queensland College of Teachers (external certification pending approval).
Conclusion of a non-education Bachelor's degree (AQF Level 7)equivalent, with a minimum GPA of 4.0 by a recognized tertiary institution. Applicants must also meet the subject study requirements of one-quarter of a qualification in a nominated first teaching area and one sixth of a degree in a nominated next teaching area. Teaching Area One and Teaching Area Two need to be from contrasting field areas or different area areas and comprise no more than two introductory courses in each area.
