This programme concentrates on methodological topics, philosophy, history and aesthetic bases in theory of architecture, as well as the historical aspects of present and past architectural theories/styles within their world, European and Slovak context. Individual historical periods and the present time are analysed. The main target of this programme is to give the graduate an opportunity to become a theoretician of architecture with a broad humanistic and artistic viewpoint. The graduate is prepared in scientific methods of research and development in the fields of Fine Arts and Architecture History and Theory. He/she can work individually on analyses of demanding tasks, investigate new areas of knowledge and /or original solutions of explorational and developmental projects. The graduate can work for architectural and artistic historical places of work with scientific orientations, in education institutions, as a curator in galleries, in architecture, art and history oriented critical periodicals.
