This qualification reflects the functions of an individual delivering assessment and training services at the vocational education and training (VET) sector. This qualification (or the skill sets produced from units of competency within it) can also be suitable preparation for individuals engaged in the delivery of training and assessment of competence in a workplace context, like a component of a structured VET program.The level of learning via a Certificate IV in Training and Assessment is an average of six months to two years.Licensing/ / Regulatory Information Achievement of the qualification by trainers is a dependence on the Standards for Registered Training Organisations (RTOs) 2015.

Those entering the system has to be able to demonstrate vocational competency within their suggested teaching and assessing area. Vocational proficiency is understood to be extensive industry knowledge and experience, and could include, but is not limited by, holding a relevant unit of competency or eligibility.
