The University of Minnesota makes student scholarships a top priority in its private fundraising. Through the University of Minnesota Foundation, the generosity and support of alumni and friends has enabled the U to provide $78 million a year in scholarships and grants for undergraduates, and to build the 21st Century Graduate Fellowship Endowment, which provides assistance to graduate and professional students.

At the same time, gifts to the Minnesota Medical Foundation are expanding the possibilities for some of the most promising medical research anywhere in the world—happening right here at the U of M; and ensuring that the University’s patients are receiving the best care possible, in state-of-the-art facilities. The University of Minnesota is among the world's elite in 28 of the 30 subjects featured in QS Top Universities.
