Requirements for the Viola Programme at Gaetano Donizetti Institute of Music Studies

Are you interested in studying the viola at the Gaetano Donizetti Institute of Music Studies? Our viola programme is designed to provide students with the skills and knowledge necessary to become a successful violist. In order to be accepted into the programme, applicants must meet the following requirements:

• A minimum of two years of prior experience playing the viola.
• A minimum grade of B in music theory and/or music history.
• A minimum grade of C in aural skills.
• A minimum grade of C in sight-reading.
• A minimum grade of C in music performance.
• A minimum grade of C in music composition.
