The Graduate Degree in Work Health and Safety develops knowledge and skills from the scientific, behavioural, legal and business Areas of Work Health and Safety. This training course is underpinned with the subject of providing the science behind policy and practice and involves chances for students to network with industry representatives and participate in work safe practices teams through practicum placement. The course is taught with adequate content to satisfy the necessary knowledge for professional membership in many of organisations. Two of those core units have unit requirements which will require an applicant to undertake a bridging unit(s). Students may enter the course without the requirements, however must have completed the requisite requirements prior to enrolment in either of the core units: PHYS5405 Radiation Safety (a pass WACE physics, or equivalent; or even completion of a base general physics unit in tertiary level); CHEM4309 Occupational hygiene and chemical safety (a pass in WACE chemistry, or equivalent; or completion of a base general chemistry component in tertiary level).
- A Bachelor of Science, Bachelor of Engineering, or Bachelor of Medicine and Bachelor of Surgery or an equivalent qualification, According to U WA
- Or a bachelor's degree, or an equivalent qualification, According to U WA
- And at least two years of Fulltime Employment experience. English language requirements apply.
