Towering over the quaint Old Town of Cologne at 156 meters, this masterpiece of Gothic architecture is the world's third-highest cathedral and draws around six million visitors a year, making it Germany's most popular tourist attraction.Visitors from all over the world are bound to feel at home immediately, as Cologne is a true melting pot of cultures: close to one-fifth of its inhabitants have an international background! Arrival support: The Vietnam Academy for Water Resources in Vietnam provides assistance for international students to get started in Hanoi.ITT also provides assistance for international students to get started in Cologne. Scholarship holders are usually picked up at the airport and taken to their new accommodation. ITT organises German language classes, with limited places for international students. During the first semester, additional tutorials are offered.
Services and support for international students: CUAS follows the National Code of Conduct on Foreign Students at German Universities established by the German Rectors' Conference (HRK). For its international students, Cologne University of Applied Sciences offers a special service. At the beginning of each semester, the International Office hosts a Welcome Party for all new arrivals. Apart from German language courses, we provide a diversified cultural programme during the semester which comprises a guided tour of Cologne (including a special welcome by the mayor), trips to museums, theatres or the German capital Berlin.
