Ravensburg-Weingarten University of Applied Sciences has a total of 3,500 students and hosts four faculties: Electrical Engineering and Computer Science, Mechanical Engineering, Technology and Management as well as Social and Educational Science. Currently, approx. 12% of the students attending the university are international students. The students on the extensive campus are instructed by 100 professors and a similar number of external lecturers.
Ravensburg-Weingarten University is involved in numerous research projects and activities, in which the university cooperates with companies as well as partner universities.
Buddy Programme: Senior students, both German and international, help newcomers on arrival and throughout the semester. The so-called "buddies" are ready to answer questions even before the new students arrive.
One-week Welcome and Orientation Programme before lectures start in March: Dealing with formalities (registration at the university and in the community, health insurance, bank account, computer accounts, etc.) and exploring the region
German language courses: One week intensive course in March, 4 hours/week during the lecture period, both at different levels
