The Degree Programme in Information Systems Management (90 ECTS) is a Masters programme offered completely in English. It leads to an internationally recognised degree called Master of Business Administration. Accomplishment of DPISM takes around 23 years of part-time studies or less as a full-time student.
The contact sessions are scheduled for the evening hours and for the weekends because this programme is targeted at students who work full-time. Studies can also include intensive weeks in Finland or in foreign countries. The studies can be conducted in 2 to 3 years (4 to 6 semesters) as a part-time student or even faster as a full-time student. The face-to-face and classroom meetings take place mainly in the evenings during the working days. In the first and second semester there are about 2 to 3 meetings in a week and later perhaps 1 to 8 meetings in a month depending on the personal study plan. The following table presents the course modules of the programme. As the Elective Studies the student selects either Program Manager Orientation or Service Development Manager Orientation depending on the subject of the thesis. The Thesis work can be started as soon as the subject is identified. The Free-Choice Studies can be selected from a large multi-discipline set of master level courses available in HAAGA-HELIA. Official length of the programme: 2-3 years
A scholarship scheme which covers the tuition fee for the second and third semester is available. The scholarships are meant for those paying students who show good results in their studies, i.e. the number and level of the ECTS credits, during the first and second semester. A free form application for the scholarship together with the transcript of records must be submitted to the Programme Director for each semester not later than 10 January for the Spring Semester and 10 September for the Autumn Semester.
