Profile of the programme
This degree programme is divided into two tracks, Linguistics and Applied Linguistics and Literary and Cultural Studies. Each student chooses one track and the focus of their studies is in that track. All students must complete three compulsory courses. The remainder of the programme consists of compulsory options that students choose based on the track they have chosen. The student then writes a Master's thesis based on the track and relevant coursework. With the exception of some courses in translation, all teaching, coursework and exams in this degree programme are carried out in the English language.
Key learning outcomes
Graduates of this degree programme should have written and spoken English-language competence at the C2 level (Common European Framework of Reference for Languages). Graduates should also have a deep knowledge of literary and cultural theories and the literatures and cultures of English-speaking countries. They should also have a deep knowledge of diachronic and synchronic linguistic theories, including the history of the English language. They should also be able to work independently and conduct critical analyses.
Occupational profiles of graduates with examples
Graduates of this degree programme are prepared for work in a wide range of public institutions, including local and national government offices, the media, international organizations and NGOs, and in the private sector, where high-level English-language skills and communicative and analytical skills are required. They are also prepared to enter doctoral-level degree programmes in the linguistics and English-language literatures, continuing on to an academic career.

Lecturers
Throughout the process of writing the MA thesis, students work closely with a personal faculty supervisor who oversees and critiques their project as it develops.
