Full-time studies are free of charge for citizens of EU and EFTA countries as well as for people mentioned in article 43, bill 2, Prawo o szkolnictwie wyzszym from 27.07.2005 with further changes. The other students pay 2000 euros for a year of studies (2200 euros in the first year of studies). Part-time studies: 3000 euros for a year of studies (two semesters).

* Student is obliged to collect 9 ECTSpoints during three years of studies by attending the OGUNs. It does not matter on which year of studies student attends it.

** Students choose one of these subjects as a group on condition that both subjects are offered by IF in the given year.

*** Regarding the foreign-language courses:

  • Foreign students should attend Polish course.
  • Polish students can choose any modern language, except English.
  • After first two years of studies student has to have passed the language exam on at least B2 level (in any modern language).

IMPORTANT: there is no possibility to apply for so called conditional passing of the year after the first year of studies.

Requirements

The required documents are as follows:

  • original of high school / higher education diploma,
  • application for admission printed out from candidates individual registration account,
  • photocopy of an id,
  • 2 colour photographs 35 x 45 mm (left ear must be visible),
  • application for issuing students id printed out from candidates individual registration account (it is necessary to attach a digital photo first),
  • proof of students id payment.

Additional documents required from foreigners and candidates with a foreign diploma:

  • certificate of recognition in case there is no agreement on mutual recognition of documents between Poland and the country of issue or the existing agreement does not include the diploma,
  • legalization or apostille if the diploma was issued by an institution operating in the educational system in a country that was a member of the Hague Convention of 5th of October, 1961 abolishing the requirement of legalizing foreign official documents (Journal of Laws of 2005 No 112, item 938 and 939);
  • Candidate with a foreign diploma should deliver a copy of the diploma before the designated deadline for submitting documents. The original version along with a certificate of recognition / nostrification has to be submitted until the end of the first semester of studies.
  • Nostrification of the Secondary School Diploma (for candidates applying for the 1st-cycle studies): nostrification is done by the Kuratorium O´swiaty, phone: +48 22 55 12 400, address: Aleje Jerozolimskie 32 Street, 00-024 Warszawa.
  • Nostrification of the 1st-Cycle Higher Education Diploma (for candidates applying for the 2nd-cycle studies): nostrification is done by the Warsaw Univeristy department from equivalent of which you have graduated. E.G. if you hold BA diploma in Law you should apply to Faculty of Law and Administration for the nostrification. If you are not sure which department is right for nostrifying your diploma please contact Admission Office: admission@uw.edu.pl , phone: +48 22 55 24 043.
  • sworn translation into Polish language of the diploma made by a sworn translator from the list of the Minister of Justice or Polish consulate,
  • health certificate stating that there are no objections to undertake studies by a candidate (only in case of not-Polish citizens).

During the first round of 2011 admission the documents should be submitted on one of the following days:

  • 18th July, Monday, 16:30 18:30
  • 19th July, Tuesday, 12:00 14:00

Candidates accepted in the second round of 2011 admission have to deliver the documents on:

  • 28th September, Wednesday, 12:00-14:00

to room no. 306 (3rd floor).
