Biophysical sciences

The Honours Bachelor of Science with specialization in Human Kinetics program emphasizes the bio-physical sciences of human kinetics, thus focusing on the disciplines of biomechanics, exercise physiology, and psychomotor behavior. Students also gain an understanding of the psycho-social contributions to human movement.

Career opportunities include certified kinesiologist, ergonomist, certified personal trainer, fitness evaluator and work disability consultant. This program also qualifies you for further education in medicine or teacher's college and for graduate studies in rehabilitation sciences and in the biophysical sciences.

• Past experience indicates that students with a strong background in biology, chemistry and physics have an increased rate of success. If you have completed Advanced Functions 4U but have not completed Calculus and Vectors 4U, you can take the replacement course at the University of Ottawa either the summer before or during your first term.
