Accounting and Bookkeeping

This qualification reflects the occupation functions of workers at the accounting business, for example BAS Agents and contract bookkeepers; and of the employees performing accounting tasks for organisations in a range of industries. It features lodging and preparing business and instalment activity statements, and providing advice or dealing with the Commissioner for a taxpayer in relation to activity statements. Individuals in these functions apply theoretical and expert understanding and skills to work properly, and training decision in completing routine and non-routine activities.Licensing/Regulatory InformationWork functions in the occupational areas where this eligibility could be used are subject to specific regulatory conditions. Other states apply, for example a designated period of experience. Persons seeking BAS agent registration should assess current registration conditions with the TPB, as registration requirements have been assessed regularly.
