Advanced Science

The job of Advanced Science prepares high-achieving exceptionally motivated students for careers as the future leaders and investigators in the sciences where strong quantitative skills and in depth knowledge come in popular. A range of specialisations are offered from the majors listed. During field work and practical experience students undertake hands-on research and study in areas such as tropical rainforests, coastal wetlands, mangroves, tropical savannah, and the Great Barrier Reef, as well as in more traditional science places.

Year 12 or equivalent: English (Units 3/4,C), mathematical methods (Units 3/4,C) Recommended: one of biology, chemistry, physics or pro maths (Units 3/4,C).
