We exist in a world with a constant supply of advertising to hand, and yet it is often ill defined.  Our Advertising BA course teaches you exactly what it means, its wider importance and implication in our society and culture, and the specialist skills you need to work within the advertising industry.  You will learn how to communicate strategically and creatively, and to understand specific target audiences. You will learn how to motivate and effect change and behaviours, and thinking, in individuals, and the general wider population through creative solutions.  Guided by award winning, and published, lecturers with a wealth of industry experience, you will be joining an exciting degree to launch you into the global creative industries, and your chosen career path.  Modules focus on a wide range of skills, from understanding Copywriting to Global Branding, Consumer Behaviours and Psychology to Ethics and Regulations, Media Practice to Live Industry Briefs.

Requirements

  • International applicants are required to have one of the following English language qualifications with grades as shown below.A British Council International English Language Testing System (IELTS) score of 6.0 (or above) with a minimum score in each component of Reading, Writing, Listening and Speaking of 5.5. Pearson Academic score of 54 (or above) with a minimum score in each component of Reading, Writing, Listening and Speaking of 51.
  • Five GCSEs at grade C or above including English Language and Mathematics.
  • Fully completed application form
  • Personal Email address must be included on application form
  • Transcripts and/or certificates (including a certified translation if not in English)
  • Passport - copy of personal details page
  • Proof of financial sponsorship if applicable
  • Portfolio if required (Art and Design portfolios only to be sent with application. Any other courses requiring a portfolio you will be notified how to send, after we receive your application)
  • Reference
  • Confirmation of immigration history including copies previous and current visas if applicable
