The Master of Science in Aeronautics (MSA) degree program is designed to provide the aviation/aerospace professional with a rigorous academic approach to a generalist education-oriented degree. It provides an unequaled opportunity for pilot flight crewmembers, air traffic control personnel, flight operations specialists, meteorologists, industry technical representatives, and aviation educators to enhance their knowledge and pursue additional career opportunities.
Entry into the MSA program requires possession of an undergraduate foundation, with a minimum CGPA of 3.0, with coursework in the areas of college-level mathematics (including statistics), introduction to computers, economics, and behavioral science.
The MSA program consists of 36 credits. Students must complete the MSA core requirements consisting of 15 credits, and then complete the nine credits that make up the selected specialization in one of five areas: Air Traffic Management, Aviation/Aerospace Education Technology, Aviation/Aerospace Management, Aviation/Aerospace Operations, or Aviation Safety Management Systems. Students must also complete 12 credits of coursework that includes either a Thesis (six credits), or a Graduate Capstone Project (GCP) (three credits). MSA students can also complete courses leading to a multiple specializations. Additional specializations must be declared prior to the completion of the degree program. Students wishing to complete multiple specializations must have nine unduplicated credits in each of the specializations and a minimum of 36 credit hours in order to graduate.

Foreign Credential Evaltuation
Graduate applicants who have university-level educational experience outside the United States are required to provide an official course-by-course evaluation in English, including the cumulative grade-point average. The evaluation must be certified by World Education Service (WES), a Foreign Credential Evaluation Services (FCE) approved by Embry-Riddle. Please choose the WES ICAP evaluation
Language Requirement
To be admitted into a degree program, international students who will not be graduating from an English educational system within the last two years, or for whom English is not the primary language, must submit official TOEFL, IELTS, or Cambridge scores. The preferred TOEFL score for admissions is 213 (computer based), 550 (paper based), or 79 (IBT-Internet based). The preferred IELTS score for admission is 6.0. The preferred Cambridge score is 170. Students scoring below the preferred score may be deferred for enrollment to our Embry-Riddle Language Institute (ERLI). Admission to ERLI does not guarantee admission to an Embry-Riddle degree program. Admissions also encourages all applicants for whom English is not the primary language spoken at home to consider taking the SAT I to supplement their language proficiency exam scores. This additional information will aid the University in accurately assessing verbal skills.

All international students must provide a copy of his or her valid passport for immigration purposes.
Affidavit of Financial Support
International Students must have sufficient funds for their expenses during the entire period of study, including living costs, travel, and vacation. International Students will have the opportunity to seek part-time jobs on campus to supplement their income.
An Affidavit of Financial Support is required for all international students who will require an I-20 or DS-2019. In order to be considered a legal document, the Affidavit of Financial Support must be attested, notarized, or certified.
A bank or scholarship letter — no more than 6 months old and addressed to Embry-Riddle — is required. The letter must guarantee the availability of sufficient funds to cover tuition and fees, living expenses (room and board), books, medical insurance, and personal expenses for two semesters.

All applicants must complete an online application and submit a $50 non-refundable fee in U.S. funds.

Note: For any graduate transfer credit to be considered, the applicant must submit catalogs of institution attended, with course descriptions clearly marked to indicate the courses to be reviewed.
