The MA in Applied Economics degree requires the completion of 30 semester credit hours.  These 30 semester hours do not include the Business Core courses required of all graduate students.

During the summer all students will complete an applied economic research project.  This will either be completed in conjunction with an internship, or in the Masters Research Practicum course.

Econometric electives. Students will typically take two of the following econometric electives.

  • A scanned digital copy of all transcripts from all prior academic institutions 
    • Applicants who have received a degree in China must have their degrees verified by the China Academic Degrees and Graduate Education Development Center (CDGDC).  Be prepared to upload a copy of the CDGCD report.

  • Contact information for letters of recommendation.  You will need letters from two people who are familiar with your ability and accomplishments.  We strongly prefer that at least one reference come from an employer.
