The practicals are done in small groups, you receive intensive supervision and an adequate preparation for engineering work practice. The mathematics you learn at TU/e is aimed at applications in industry and at (government) institutions. You learn how to apply mathematics during instructions and practicals, in which you work on practical cases together with other students. You gain the knowledge required for that during lectures. Mathematical modeling takes up a central position in the Design-Based Learning Assignments (DBL) in the modeling practicals. And you will be tackling the mathematical aspects of practical problems with mathematical methods and (computer) simulations.
