Psychology explores the science of the mind and human nature. You'll examine mental states and procedures and the way they affect human behaviour. You'll gain strong theoretical and technical abilities. The program may be your foundation for further study in the event you want to become practising psychologist or use your study in other careers. Your studies should comprise the biological bases of behaviour including brain behaviour relationships, sensation, perception and knowledge , theories of learning, memory and cognition emotion, motivation and stress. The class includes a research job in which you work oneonone with staff on staff-initiated research endeavors. You'll also have the choice of completing a 15-day industry placement. The psychology part of the level is 25 percent of first year, 62.5% of next year and 62.5% of third season. Elective subjects may include information technology, nutrition, applied psychology, health statistics and computer science amongst the others.

The psychology major from the Bachelor of Applied Science (Psychology) is a Strict requirement for membership of the Australian Psychological Society. It's also a partial dependence on registration as a psychologist with the Psychology Board of Australia, subject to further study or clinical practice. The app was accredited with the Australian Psychology Accreditation Council.
