Fish products provide one of the most important sources of animal protein in the world. While world demand has multiplied in recent years, however, production from fish extract has remained stable, if not in decline, explaining why aquaculture is the fastest growing food industry in the world. Our country is a major consumer of fish and aquaculture is developing into a viable alternative for guaranteeing the market supply of fish.

The incorporation of floating cages has placed the Valencian Region amongst the pioneers on a national level, making Aquaculture one of the most important growth sectors of this region. This Masters provides the necessary training in aquaculture to meet the demands of the sector

Students will be accepted based on their curriculum, weighting both academic history and average course mark. Two places are reserved for students from European Universities included on the Erasmus-Socrates Thematic Network "Aquaculture, Fisheries and Aquatic Resource Management" (AQUA-TNET) no 22599 1-CP- 1-2005- 1 -BE-ERASMUS-TN from the European Commission of Education
