Artist Educator

The International Masters Artist Educator (IMAE) is an interdisciplinary programme that combines individual studio practice within a community context. The programme will deepen your understanding of how art in education extends our knowledge of Self and Other. * An inter-disciplinary programme of study. * Emphasis on increasing practical experience through a consistent engagement with studio practice. * Promote the development of innovative collaborative project work across a variety of formal and informal learning contexts. * Seminar topics will be led by a team of highly experienced local and internationally renowned artists and educators * Independent study supported through the development of a community of praxis. * A community placement programme will encourage the artist to transform individual practice to collaborative. * Fully accredited programme funded by the Ministry of Education and recognised by the DUO scholarship for teachers. After completing this Master's you will receive the internationally recognised title Master of Education in Arts and will proceed to contribute to the development of new forms Arts practice research in the field of education.
