A double degree of Bachelor of Arts and Bachelor of Science allows you to combine your chosen Arts degree with a range of science skills to enhance your employability. The Bachelor of Arts degree allows you to study across several skill and knowledge-bases in many different fields of study with plenty of flexibility. Combining this with your chosen major within the Bachelor of Science will give you success in many different careers and let you do it in less time than if you were completing two separate degrees.

1 Students majoring in Mathematics, Statistics, Computing (eight-unit majors) or Information Technology (12-unit major) must take CIS1000 Information System Concepts.
2 Students majoring in Biology must take CMS1100 Communicating in the Sciences.
3 Students majoring in Psychology must take PSY1030 as their fourth core course. Students majoring in Computing (eight-unit majors) or Information Technology (12-unit major) must take CSC1401 as an elective.
4 Students studying majors in Biology, and Human Physiology are only required to complete 6 core courses.
Entry requirements
- Year 12 English (4 SA) or equivalent
- Science majors: applicants for the Mathematics major or Mathematics and Statistics major are also required to have achieved a level of Sound Achievement over four semesters in Queensland Senior (Year 12) Mathematics B (4 SA) or equivalent
- If you completed Year 12 at a Queensland secondary school you will be assessed for entry on the basis of your Overall Position (OP) or equivalent score.
- Year 12 students from other states or territories are considered for entry on the basis of their UAI, ENTER or TER and the subject prerequisites indicated. Other applicants will be based on their overall Rank.
English Language Requirements
Domestic and international students from a non-English speaking background are required to satisfy English Language requirements. This program requires a minimum of IELTS 6.0 or equivalent.
If you do not meet the English language requirements you may apply to study a University-approved English language program.

- Arts majors: Students seeking to enrol in creative media, music, theatre or visual arts courses must pass the relevant audition/portfolio/interview requirements
- For Science majors: A-level mathematics1 or equivalent
- A-level biological science, chemistry, physics, or multi-strand science or equivalent, depending on major selected
